Safari link opens up the rift valley

Safarilink commenced direct daily operations from Wilson Airport to Kitale from 21st November 2016. The new route situated between Cherangani Hills and Mount Elgon, Kenya’s second giant volcanic cone is set to open up a multitude of attractive destinations in Western Kenya. Kitale is an agricultural town in Northern Rift Valley and has been deemed ‘’the cereal basket of Kenya’’ for its large production of Maize, Wheat and dairy products. Kitale is also home to Kitale Museum, the first of the Inland museums to be developed in Kenya. Formerly known by the name Stoneham Museum. It got its name from an amateur naturalist who lived in Kitale, by the name Lieutenant colonel Hugh Stoneham.
